My cordial greetings to the participants and organizers of “Atomeco-2010!”

“The nuclear Renaissance” which is currently observed in many States of the world, promotes occurrence of new scientific approaches, development of perspective technologies, and also acceptance of innovative decisions. Therefore it is very important, that such development should be supported with combined efforts of Russian and international expert communities through an exchange of experience and knowledge.

The Forum “Atomeco-2010“ has become an authoritative place for a discussion of topical areas related to the nuclear and environmental safety. Complicated issues of radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel management, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, clean environment and environmental rehabilitation requires not only exchange of experiences and practices, but also tight cooperation. Those challenges are common to each State that now uses nuclear energy.

Technology solutions and up-to-date equipment exhibited at the forum will encourage the emerging of more efficient methods and technologies, give food for thought and inspire new international initiatives in this field.

I am fully confident that the Forum will not only be an informative and very interesting event, but also bring practical benefits to both industry and the environment.
